The name of Empresarial Universidad de Costa Rica and the University logo form a key role in internal branding of the University and also represent the reputation of the University externally and internationally. For example, they identify official publications, presentations and websites.

By trade-marking these assets, the University is able to protect itself against those who wish to benefit from its reputation by falsely implying association with the University through the use of the name and/or the University logo.

It also gives the University control over how its name is used on academic and commercial products.

The name and logo of the University are copyright and registered trademark of the University and should only be used by third parties under a written permission issued by the designated Academic Representative Worldwide.
